Introduction: The Chaparral is home to many plant and bird species.
Definition: A shrub land found primarily in the US state of California and the northern part of Mexico.

Animals- Bushtit, California thrasher, spotted towhee, western scrub jay, Greater roadrunner
Plants- Bush rue, Bush monkey flower, Black sage, Manzanita, Deerwood

Locations- California and Mexico
Many types of terrains such as flat plains rocky hills and mountain slopes. Its characterized as being hot and dry. As for the temperature, the winter is very mild and is usually about 10 degrees Celsius. It is so hot and dry 40 degrees Celsius that fires and droughts are very common.
